Japanese + STEAM Builder’s Club
Why We Created This Program
This program began with a simple idea shared by one of our parents. At our cultural center, our strength has always been bringing families together — creating a place where children learn not only language, but also connection and community. We began to ask ourselves:
How can we help children experience Japanese more naturally — not only through study, but through play, creativity, and shared discovery?
Through hands-on STEAM activities with LEGO, children are encouraged to think independently, create something of their own, and confidently share their ideas. These skills — thinking, building, and expressing — go beyond Japanese learning.
They are life skills that support success in local schools and future academic environments.
If this program helps children gain confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and discover a renewed interest in Japanese, then we believe we are fulfilling the true role of our cultural center.
This program is not an additional language class — it is a place where children actively use and apply the Japanese they are already learning.
